Who we are

A different way to show you Málaga

EcoMove Movilidad Sostenible S.L. is a Málaga company offering sightseeing tours of the city in 100% electric tuk tuks. We started with two simple ideas: that you can show off Málaga without polluting it, and that a tourism business can give something back to the neighbourhood it works in.

How we work

Three things we never compromise on

They're what set us apart from other tuk tuks in Málaga, and what we'd like you to hold us to.

We give back to the city

€3 from every booking goes to Nada es Imposible, a Málaga charity — no percentages, no small print. That money ends up in a community grocery and a community clothes bank in the city.

Small groups, always private

We never mix groups. The tuk tuk is just for whoever books it, so you set the pace, the stops and the questions.

Local guides, not recorded commentary

Our drivers are from Málaga and tell the city's story in Spanish, English, French and German. No canned audio guide.

Charity Tuk Tuk

€3 from every booking stays in Málaga

It's not a percentage or a one-off campaign: it's a fixed amount from every tour that goes in full to the charity Nada es Imposible, which since 2015 has run a social food shop and a clothing bank for vulnerable and migrant families in the city.

We're part of the “Unidos por un Futuro” (United for a Future) alliance alongside the Asociación Nunca Solas, with institutional support.

Donated so far

€30

Based on the 10 bookings made on the website. It updates automatically with every new booking.

  • Social inclusion and support for vulnerable families
  • Support for women who are victims of violence
  • Training and help into employment

Sustainability

What “sustainable” means here

In tourism the word “sustainable” is overused. For us it means three concrete, verifiable things.

Environmental: the vehicle is electric with solar support. It produces no emissions in the centre of a city that already suffers pollution peaks in summer, and it adds no noise to streets that have plenty already.

Social: part of every booking stays in Málaga through the charity Nada es Imposible, which we work with alongside the Asociación Nunca Solas within the «Unidos por un Futuro» alliance.

Economic: we hire local drivers and give opportunities to people looking for work, as part of that same alliance's training and employment pillar.

FAQs

About the vehicle

Are EcoMove's tuk tuks really electric?

Yes. They're 100% electric vehicles with a solar panel on the roof, no combustion engine and no exhaust. Zero direct emissions and almost silent.

Can they drive through Málaga's historic centre?

Yes. Being small electric vehicles, they reach city centre streets that no sightseeing bus can, and they're not affected by low-emission zone restrictions.

Is the tuk tuk accessible for people with reduced mobility?

Access is at street level with one low step, and the driver helps you get in. There's no ramp or space for an electric wheelchair; let us know when you book and we'll look at each case.

What is the vehicle's range?

About 150 km from the battery plus around 40 km from the solar panel on the roof, roughly 190 km a day. Far more than any of our tours covers.
